“ Located inside the downtown Hilton Charlotte. The coastal kitchen and bar was good. It was clean and welcoming. I especially like the Charleston she crab soup it was rich and creamy with lumps of actual real crab. The apple and aged cheddar salad was just the right size for lunch. I added a salmon to it and it was tasty as well. Service was kind of slow. Overall it was good and simple place for lunch. ”
“ This was a stop after a long day working a booth at a trade show. Our colleagues sat down for cocktails, unwind and relaxation before dinner. ”
“ A fairly good experience. My eating companion really enjoyed her salmon plate. Although she was hoping based on the title of the restaurant it would have more fish options. My gnocchi was, so so, it was very flavorful and my first time trying gnocchi. This is located in a hotel. Although many restaurants in this area are. The prices were fair about $35 per person with water to drink. The ambiance was nice. It felt safe. Side note, the bathrooms require a key. The servers were competent without being pushy or hovering. This was a good experience. I recommend! ”
“ We were seated immediately. My Carolina burger was very good! The only issue was the meat was closer to rare than well when I ordered a medium well. It was very delicious, just scarily pink. The pimento and jalapeños added another layer of flavor to the whole thing. The sweet potato fries were very crispy and savory. Service was good, ambiance was nice, would be willing to come again. ”
“ Walking distance from my hotel. I come here to sit at the bar and get some work done. Bartender same amazing martini skill set as last time. Extra crispy wings with sauce on the side extra veggies. Just perfect. ”
“ Didn't try the food. Drinks at the bar only. Bar wise, it was good. Decent selection of drafts and a full bar with cocktail menu. Bartender was very attentive. Location wise it is right in the bowels of the Hilton Hotel, in a corridor connecting other buildings and businesses. This would not be in my top 10 places in Uptown to get a drink. Probably not even top 50, but it was convenient to the hotel I was staying at. ”
“ Almaz is amazing and she made our experience wonderful. This restaurant was the highlight of my stay at the hotel. The soup is delicious and the caroline bbq wings are finger lickin' good. The french fries are fresh and crunchy. The drinks were also on point and the bar was fast. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cute. They are doing some construction but it doesn't happen during restaurant hours. ”
“ At a recent stay in Charlotte's Hilton Uptown, I had opportunity to try the breakfast buffet at their in-house restaurant: Costal Kitchen & Bar. The offerings were varied and served from well attended chaffing dishes. Offerings ranged from fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, grits, Danish, muffins among others. The star of the show however was an omelette station making to-order items with a good list of options. While not exactly 'cruise ship fancy', the buffet was above average hotel breakfast, and for a reasonable price. ”
“ The main restaurant for the Hilton Uptown, it is located on the ground floor in a large atrium. Service was a bit slow to start but picked up as our meal progressed. My wife enjoyed her pork chop, which was plated nicely with asparagus and fingerling potatoes. I just had chicken wings that were meaty and cooked properly though the "Buffalo" didn't have too much heat to them. And yes, Ken's makes a nice bleu cheese dressing but putting containers of it on the plate don't add to the presentation. Overall, a "good" experience and about what I expected from a hotel restaurant. If it hadn't been pouring down with rain, we would likely have gone elsewhere. “ The Coastal Kitchen and Bar has a great buffet with excellent food and a reasonably priced buffet. Chef Gregory really stood out in the experience, keeping the food fully stocked but more importantly, the omelets made to order. I had an incredible omelette of mushrooms and onions topped at the very end with cheddar cheese melted to perfection. The only thing I can mark the servers off with was providing refills for coffee. Once I signed my room number to the bill, it was like I no longer existed. Overall, a good experience though. ”
